The beautiful land of Leh Ladakh in the Himalayas are sparingly populated with human settlements, dotted with cluster of mud, stone & sometimes concrete huts and sheds to host their cattle, mostly yaks & sheep. Almost all such communities, like this one, is the home of a monastery, the communities being built & sustained around Buddhism, which not only defines their way of life but also determines their spiritual prospects.
Over 5000 years of human civilization, prosperity in arts, science, philosophy and non-materialistic sciences have also harbored religions, rituals & various customs in India. Very often we follow these rituals mechanically these days without completely knowing the purpose or completely following the processes as prescribed in the Vedas.
