The beautiful hill station of Pahalgaon is located on the way to the Amarnath Caves in Jammu & Kashmir. Nestled in the Betaab Valley along the Lidder river, the place is home to some of the native Indian bear & the musk deer.

The two-storeyed pyramid like structure built in the combination of Vijayanagara style and the Islamic style of architecture is also known as Kamal Mahal or Chitragani Mahal, and is part of the royal palace of Krishnadevaraya for women of the royal family.

The royal compound was built around the 16th century. While most of the structures have eroded with time, this Lotus Palace in Hampi, Karnataka still remained intact & is not a popular Indian tourist destination.

This amazing afternoon image is taken of the Taj Mahal from the Agra Fort. This is the fort where Shah Jahan was exiled by his son Aurangzeb, and he decided to mourn his last days from an attic room from where he could see his creation, the Taj Mahal, and be in company with his memories of his departed wife Mumtaz Mahal.

The southern tip of the Indian subcontinent boasts of a historical rocky island just off the mainland, popularly known as the Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari. The great Indian patriot & spiritual giant Swami Vivekananda sat in meditation on this rock, one of the two giant rock formations in the Lakshadweep Sea – the ‘Shripada Mandapam’ and the ‘Vivekananda Mandapam’.
